I dont hunt not because of shooting animals but I am not a fan of getting up early.  I have grown up around people who hunt and the meat is real good to eat.  If people are responsible I think that there are no real problems to worry about!

Well, I personally have never given a second thought to hunting.  My
husband, though, is an animal lover and it saddens him to know that people
do this for a sport or hobby.

I also was thinking about the shootings that are taking place on that
stretch of highway I heard about on the news and the fact that it is near
hunting grounds, but hunting season is just starting.

I did some hunting once, and I don't have a problem with it.

However, for me it was to spend some time with my dogs and
train them to retrieve.  I have two Labs and it's pretty
amazing how they can retrieve a dove with almost no
training.

Training a dog it's itself an interesting challenge for
both dog and human.  You quickly learn how much more
progress you can make when you stay patient, and realize
that the reason they are not obeying is only because the
don't understand what you want.  When they finally do
understand, it's a joy for both.

I've had them for 3 years now and I still feel good inside
when they get all excited every time I come home. ;-)

No, I don't have kids (yet).
