<P>I have not read those novels. I will check them out though. Thanks!!</P>
<P>I was at the thrift store a while back and they had a whole set (18) books called the "House of Winslow" . It's a series. I have read a couple of them and they were good. The author is Gilbert Morris. The first books are about the pilgrims. They start out in England and Holland. I would recomend them if you like that kind of book.</P>

<DIV></DIV>Frank,
<DIV></DIV>Have you read the series of historical novels by Elswyth Thane? I think they are called the Williamsburg Novels, but I could be wrong there... I really enjoyed them and learned so much about early American history. The one that included WWII was one of the darkest I have read. Some of the titles are: Yankee Stranger, Ever After, Kissing Kin, Dawn's Early Light, This Was Tomorrow. That list is NOT in the right order or complete -- it's just the titles I can remember.

<DIV></DIV> I like to read historical novels about as good as any. Especially older history. I just finished a book about a king around 1100. It was a pretty good book. I have read better though. It was called "The Bishop's Heir" by Katherine Fritz (I think was her last name.)
