Thanks Carla for that story. We have one of our own. The first time Bryan was in Iraq was for the war a year ago. On April 17th in the night my wife said she felt she needed to pray for Bryan. She got up and went to the basement bedroom and spent the rest of the night praying. As it was getting near 6 am she said she felt at peace and came back to get me up. The next night at 3 in the morning we got a call from Bryan. His was in Tukrit and his unit had been ambushed and they had quite a fire fight. They then arrested several Iraqi's for smuggling AK-47's in their trunk. Bryan was hit in the shin with some shrapnel but it was not serious and he did not even come out of action. I am sure my wife's prayers were answered. I'm also sure there are many other stories just like this.

Thanks again for sharing. Anyone else have one?

Frank , this happened recently in Iraq. We have friends in our church, whose son was serving in Iraq.

We had been praying for him, and of course, all the military serving. He was walking with a group to make phone calls home, when he decided he was hungry and turned back. The ones that continued all lost their lives. He is home now, and I feel he is a walking miracle. We are so grateful his life was spared.
