<DIV>God expects us to use the disernment given us through the Holy Spirit to know when to give and when not to give. I would not give them any money. I might make sure they knew where a meal and a bed could be obtained, but many times they are just trying to get drug or alcohol money and you are not doing good by supplying these things.</DIV>

If you go to the store and there is a drunk or a bum asking you for spare change, do you give it to him. I personally feel angered that they are capable of standing in front of the store, but not of standing in an employment line. My city offers a lot to homeless people. Free clothes, free food, free shelter. Help me out with this question. Am I wrong for not giving him my hard earned money that I need to feed my family?</FONT></STRONG></DIV>

<DIV>Faith is all that is needed to get you into heaven, but if you really follow Christ's teachings you will be an example for others for Him. Many die accepting Christ at the last minute so you can see that it is not necessary to have done works as you would not have had time, but the works will be judged in heaven in regards to rewards. There are many scriptures that point to this, but right now I am too tired to think of any.</DIV>
