<DIV></DIV>We returned from Colombia & are very happy to be back in the USA. You forget how good we have it here, until you leave for awhile. We were able to do presentations to almost 4,000 children. We visited their schools and some schools met us in the parks. The children are beautiful, they are fascinated with North Americans and wanted our autographs. We all thought that was pretty funny, but we co-operated when we could. Also went up a mountain to a very poor area where there is no heat, running water nor paved streets. Murder is a common event up there. The police do not go up at all. We visited a school there and left some school supplies.

<DIV></DIV>Bogotá is a city full of traffic and smog and hugh pot holes in the roads. The people use cars, buses, bikes, motorcycles and horse drawn carts. Yet they have very modern shopping malls & restaurants. A small part of the population make up the upper class, there is a small middle class & a large part of the people are quite poor. The church we visited had young girls who danced to the songs and it was quite beautiful.
