Kitchen/cooking</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV id=RTEContent>I have read with interest the comments on the
kitchen/cooking topic. I thought I would put my $.02 in. When my
wife and I married, I was working 60+ hours per week. Since my cooking
experience was limited to what guys cook while living in a college dorm, she
said she would be the cook. She did not have much experience, but, she
dove right in. Thankfully there were enough family close for her to get
help from. For my birthday (12 days after our wedding) she decided to
bake me a made-from-scratch chocolate cake. When it came out it was
about 1/2 " thick and hard as a rock. She forgot the baking powder (I
think. You ladies correct me if I am wrong.) Anyway, she was
crying when I came home, so, (being the knight in shining armor that I am) I
said, "That's ok. I will eat it anyway." So, I put it in a bowl of
milk and soaked it up and ate it. She still thinks I'm more or less
nuts! We do have a good laugh about it every once in a while.</DIV>
<DIV>Another thing that happened. She decided to make me a shirt for me
for Christmas one year. It came out really nice but the buttons were on
the wrong side (for guys that is.) I always did have a hard time
buttoning that shirt up. I was kind of glad when she learned to cook
good enough that I started to gain weight and pretty soon it didn't fit any
more.</DIV>
<DIV>Like I said, my $.02 worth.</DIV>
