[GCFL-discuss] Vancouver, WA's weather is so odd

Well, I live in Rockford IL and the high is in the single digits and the
wind chill is -19 below zero.  My kids can't even wait for the bus, they
have to be escorted to school.  So we are having horrible weather too.  My
husband put weather-strip on the front door to keep the cold air out, but
now the door has to slammed shut in order for it to stay shut.  So the
other yesterday morning I woke up and came downstairs and the door was
open!  It was 30 degrees in the house!  The fish all died (froze to death)!
The remote no longer worked because the batteries were frozen and I had to
turn on the heater, oven and space heater full blast in order to get the
downstairs heated up to 66 degrees by the time I came back home!  We have
programmable thermostats, and the downstairs heater shuts off to about 50
degrees at night and the upstairs heater is on all night.  I can't wait to
see my gas bill!  Not that natural gas prices are already outrageous! :(

Well ya'll, I get to report that here in Battle Ground, WA (about 10
miles NE of Vancouver {Not BC}, Washington {Not DC}) has had BEAUTIFUL
weather that I so enjoy. My car is now covered in probably about a half
inch of ice, to the point I have ice cicles on my car, hehe. Just thought
I'd share that with ya'll, thankfully the weather should be back to
"normal" for this area by noon tomorrow.
