Lance is correct. It is not that you thought of the idea, it is if you keep thinking about it. Any thought can become a sin if you dwell on the idea. If you think of something and then put it out of your mind and do not dwell on it you have removed the temptation to sin.

Lance,
So you're saying that breaking the tenth commandment is not a sin? How is that true?

Coveting something is not a displayed physical action. The definition of covet is "to wish for enviously" and that means you're thinking about it. Please further explain yourself (maybe i'm mssing something in what you said).

The thought is not the sin. It's the action you take on that thought. IE: Keep thinking about it, doing it, playing with it, anything you do to keep the thought going, THAT's the sin.

Dave,

even thoughts can be a sin (which is one of the main reasons that us humans sin allt he time). As I'm sure you know, the last commandment says that you shouldn't covet your neighbors goods (be it his house, wife, or anything else he owns). As coveting is not a physical action but a mental one (meaning that if you are coveting something you don't necessarily steal it but rather think about having it or wih you had it, etc) your thoughts as well as actions can be sins.

Siarlys, if you mean thinking of sex every five minutes as "Booty call
every five minutes". Thats normal, everybody does it male and female alike.
(Jeff at his age does it more often than that.) I don't see how you can put
that in the sin department. The sin may come if ones thoughts turn into
actions.

As far as fags go, live and let live. I'm for civil unions but not marriage
in the name of GOD
