Yolanda
Why are YOU resentful? Did the anonymous crusader direct his words to you
personally? You say you teach your children to eat nutritiously and that is
good. But the fact is that many people don't or can't. A pre-school
teacher told me that she has seen kids come to school with Coke in their
bottles.

I resent that. As a mother of 5 children, I do not take my kids to "Micky
D's" or any other fast food restaurant or teach them to eat junk food. I
teach them how to eat nutritiously.

Yes we try to promote nutrition in the schools. The kids come to school
knowing what they like and don't like. Mon and Dad take them out to Mickey
Ds or some other fast food chain and teach them almost from birth how to eat
junk food.
So when you hear how bad school lunch is, we are just trying to feed the
kids something that they know and will eat. We always have a large selection
of fruits and vegetables on the line but that part is never mentioned. If
you are a tax payer, go visit your schools and have lunch with the kids.

I heard that McDonalds has now become aware of these startling statistics
and that is why they have changed their menu . If you have been watching,
everyone is jumping on the bandwagon for health. (Arby's, Wendy's , etc.) I
even heard this morning, that Applebees has a menu designed for Weight
Watchers with the points already counted for each item. (point system) I
think, or I hope mostly, that the day of the Super Sized portions is over.

I learned this week that the Government has gobs of $$ ( for grants) just
waiting for people to start programs to promote health and nutrition.

God bless you abundantly today and always!
