Most tortoises are herbivorous. But most turtles are omnivorous, so
depending if that was a tort or a turt would depend, but if it was
that small it probably won't eat for a while. Sounds like it was a
hatchling, it'll be feeding on its yolk for quite some time before
it'll actually eat "real food".

Lance, thanks for the great pictures of K,  It is a great looking
turtle.  I will show my grandson when he gets up from his nap.  Ever
since we found a  turtle in my yard he has been interested in them. 
We let it go.  Recently we found a baby about the size of a saucer, 
he didn't eat what we offered, so I thought I'd better let him go too.
(We gave him a earthworm and a caterpillar.)  No go.
