      As strange as is sounds.  If you just pour the two together and don't
mix them, the density difference will keep them separated for quite a while
(talking several weeks).  I never would have believed it myself until
somebody did it for me.  The other catch is you have to have a lot of salt
(most salt means a greater density difference).
