I am sure you do not need to tell her.  She most likely already knows and has chosen to follow this path.  Again, God gives us free will.  He gives us direction, we chose.

God had a reason to create a man AND a woman. Who are we to change what our Almighty Creator made us? 
 
God destroyed Sodom and Gamorra.....because of all the bad they were doing. Includeing men lieing with men. Why would his feelings change for our day?
 
We should be just as concerned today. Not to become fearful of man. "What can man do to me?" Stating and standing behind on what you believe seperates you from the "world" as the Bible brings out, that Jesus told us to be. Seperate.

legal rights my foot, one has to look at moral rights as well....How on earth can you have a same sex  marriage? That totally goes against God's will, furthermore what kind of society would that be promoting if we agreed to that? Our children are confused as it is but then to have a kid with two fathers? Now that is totally messed.......
I think that we should be concerned that the Corporate world is pushing this sort of lifestyle at us...for example on TV....more and more TV shows are gay orientated....will and grace, queer eye for the straight guy...it's all relative.....
Nope....corruption....that is what I say.
