Hi Eagle,

I believe that hunting geese is illegal in most states, maybe even
federally, because it was so close to extinction at one point. That would
have to be amended, but with so many of them, why not?

Kateinmo's point about teaching children where food comes from would be a
good response to people who don't want children to see violence. For most
of human history, children saw their mother go out in the yard with a
butcher knife to get the meat for dinner, or saw dad and older brother
grab a hog and cut it. Now, meat comes neatly wrapped from a supermarket.
Yes, with hunting on certain days, everyone who didn't want to watch
could go elsewhere. (Just like, people who are offended by running across
a rock in a city park inscribed with the Ten Commandments can always go
to another picnic area).
