[GCFL-discuss] Comments about hurricane

Got this from a reader... thought it was worth forwarding.

We live in Gainesville, FL and were without power from
Sunday a.m until Friday a.m.  My daughter is still without
power. It has been a rough week and we appreciate
everyone's thoughts and prayers.  We were designated as
"Tree City" and have had a lot of loss from large 200 year
old oaks blown over and many streets and neighborhoods
flooded, but things are getting better every day.  I just
want to let everyone know how very much we appreciate the
power companies and tree service people who have come from
all over the country to help us. I personally have seen
trucks from Mississippi, Texas, Wisconsin, North Carolina,
South Carolina and Alabama.  I know there are other
communities who have sent help and I want them ALL to know
how very much we appreciate their help.
