Of course Adam had a belly button. That is, if you can accept, as I
believe, that the basic content of evolutionary theory is all contained
in the first chapter of Genesis. That doesn't include Richard Dawkins or
Bozarth's inane commentary that evolution proves there is no God, it
proves nothing of the kind. When God breathed into man's nostrils, and
man became a living soul, he was working with some of the more advanced
primates available. The Hebrew Adam means humans, not an individual male.
(Orthodox Jews would argue with that, as would orthodox Christians, but
would have to admit there is something to it). Anyway, observations of
the natural world and revelations from God cannot be contrary to each
other, except in the minds of falliable humans.
