As far as I can tell, the writer is correct. I cannot stop my foot from
changing direction as advertised.

This is either evidence of the evolution and specialization of human
limbs from vestigial appendages that were undifferentiated, or proof that
the human body was created by God, who moves in mysterious ways, or both.

My money is on both. If I'm wrong, prove it and I'll pay up.
