Anyone have any thoughts on Rick Warren giving a prayer at the
inauguration, while Gene Robinson gives a prayer at one of the
celebration events?

The media suggest that Robinson is a sop to gay groups outraged by
Warren's invitation.

I think the whole picture says "Hey, Warren is someone millions of people
look to for inspiration, who are part of America, deal with it."

Likewise, "Hey, Robinson is someone millions of people look to for
inspiration, who are part of American, deal with it."

Nobody gets to be Archbishop of the Church of the United States, because
there is no such position. It is forbidden by the constitution. So
neither one is getting an official endorsement, just recognition that
they exist and are of some significance.

We are each free to reject either or both.
