Hi Jeanene, 
 
Hope I spelled your name right. We've been traveling for 4 days, and I'm brain dead. Like you, I can't watch, read, hear or be exposed to anything resembling people causing harm to other people, physical or emotional. I have chronic complex post traumatic stress disorder. I rarely go to movies and watch very little television to avoid the above. I'm extremely careful to avoid my triggers. I wish no bad things happened to anybody, but reality is they do. But I do what I can to prevent it by writing letters to my congressional representatives expressings my views. My husband and I are very involved in organizations to prevent child abuse. We know we can't eradicate it, but we can help kids who have come out of abusive homes. That's my way of dealing with my own. I'm working toward getting the treatment for the CCPTSD. Good luck to you in your avoiding your triggers. 
 
Siarlys, I had a reply for you, but it has escaped my fibro-fogged brain. If I think of it, I'll email you.
