We visited with Dr. Gualtieri today. He scheduled Connie for a cat scan
this Wednesday morning as one more test to determine whether the cancer has
spread to the lymph nodes. We will meet with him on Friday to discuss the
results. If it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes, it might be able to be
surgically removed. Once again, we're waiting to know more.

On the positive side, it's a slow growing cancer.

Thanks for your continued prayers.

Connie had another exam (ultrasound, etc) yesterday, this time by Dr.
Golzarian. He said the cancer spot was about 1/2" in diameter and had not
spread past the wall of the colon. He believes it can probably be totally
removed via surgery and offered to go ahead and schedule it. We decided to
wait until we sit down with the oncologist, Dr. Gualtieri, on Monday.

> Any specific prayer requests?

Before the cancer was discovered, Connie found out she has high cholestrol.
She had already changed her eating habits to try to lower it. But now her
stomach is in knots just thinking about the cancer and she's having trouble
eating much at all. She IS eating, but she gets very uncomfortable if she
eats normal amounts. She's tried to compensate by eating lots of smaller
meals instead of 3 normal meals. She's also spending more time in God's
Word to stay at peace. Oh yeah, and the stress is also pushing up her blood
pressure, too.

Your prayers are VERY appreciated. The more she talks about it, though, the
more she stresses. Feel free to call or email me, but let's give her some
breathing room. Y'all are so sweet.
