Continue to remember Jean Pennington. Her first CT scan of the head and neck
since her diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma had better than expected
results. The scan showed no lymph node involvement and no metastasis to
surrounding tissue. The cancer was encapsulated so surgery can be done
locally; it was feared B'ham or Vanderbilt would be necessary. She has an
ENT appointment tomorrow afternoon, to schedule surgery possibly as early as
Thursday or Friday or certainly early next week.

Also remember Bryan Reece, cousin of Leslie Romans. He is in his early 40's
a teacher from Decatur where his wife is principal. He has a similar cancer
to Jean's and had part of his tongue, soft palate, and other mouth areas
removed due to cancer. Sadly, they found it had metastasized to his lungs.
He has two children, 12 and 16. Please pray for Bryan, his family and the
Drs' for wisdom.
