Regardless of political persuasion, 

the "Senior Citizen" joke is objectively humorous for the neat puns and
the surprise ending. In short, its funny, even though I will vote for
Kerry.

I doubt if Hussein al-Takriti (his given name before he adopted the
pompous "Saddam" meaning "he who strikes") would welcome a Kerry-Edwards
election. If nothing else, they will be bound by the fundamental rule of
politics that, toward enemies nobody in the country likes, you must prove
you are tougher than your opposition. Besides, what has he done for them
lately? (Another rule of electoral politics).

However, Osama bin-Laden will be downright furious if Kerry is elected.
He needs George W. Bush as a foil to keep his own followers at a furious
boil. Kerry will methodically pull the rug out from under him, militarily
AND politically.
