Dear Carla,

I'm not Sam, and I appreciate the story of the Afghan dog, but I note
that you did not feel a need to roast the animal to death over a slow
fire. You simply had him put to sleep, by the most humane method
available, and even that was painful to you. I'm not sure even the most
depraved killer could continue that lifestyle in heaven, because just as
we will not be men and women marrying each other in heaven, there will be
no physical bodies to murder and no physical hands to commit murder with.
But God may not want such spirits to have eternal life either. They may
remain asleep.
