People who come to the U.S. from other countries

	who start and run businesses

do pay taxes, like every other business owner.

People who come to the U.S. from other countries,

if our hard earned American dollars are given to them,

	are not running a business

One might complain about people who just arrived starting or buying a
business

when people whose family has been here five or fifteen
generations

	still don't have one,

But its hard to fault someone for starting and running a successful
business,

especially if we don't want them to just be given our hard earned
dollars.

The anonymous friend also doesn't seem to focus on which immigrants he
means:

Hmong, who were used by the CIA for 30 years, then fled here for
safety?

People who came to go to college, then decided to stay and start
		their own business?

Somalians who fled from an endless war, then found jobs here in
meat
packing plants, where they are used by management to
undermine union organizing among Mexican workers who
first
came in when management was underming unions formed
by people born in this country?

Drug dealers with ties to overthrown Latin American dictators?
(Now there
are people who run a business and don't pay taxes).

Etc. Etc. Etc.

The group stereotypes never adequately define the individual.
