Unlike some imaginative ravings that have been making the rounds in cyber
space, the following was sent to me by a real live person, who I have met
personally, corresponded with for several years, and we have a few
friends in common, scattered through at least five different states. So
this has at least the credibility that it comes from the person who
describes himself, accurately, in the opening sentence.

(I believe the Resume that follows is something he appended, and may not
be original, but it certainly is accurate).

As a Vietnam War Vet, I agree. All those "too busy to go to Vietnam"
guys, Rumsfeld, Wolffowitz, Chaney are the first to send men and women
in harms way, but then cut the VA benefits each year. It started with
Reagan and continues now. They should be ashamed. I suppose we'll have a
book from them 10 years from now, like McNamara's,saying how sorry they
are. No I suppose we won't ever hear that from this crowd.

While we do the fighting and dying, they clean up the war profits and
wage war on the poor for benefit of themselves and their supporters. I'd
like to see one of them have their children in the military. It would be
different then. Keep the poor out of college so we can use them to
protect our pocketbooks is their motto.
