If I understand correctly, Hurricane patterns tell us that there are slow
seasons (which last for years) and terrible seasons. When these
hurricanes started up last year my mom's only comment was, "They knew it
was coming".
I'm confident that hurricanes have patterns just as much as the Pacific
Ocean has patterns about warm and cold fronts which affect our Salmon
runs. My understanding is, what we've seen from past years has been
mellow hurricane season. Now the tides have turned and we're going to see
many years of ugly hurricane season coming our way.
