As I said when commenting on a cartoon at James Watkins web site, to take
humor seriously borders on sin, but I have to offer these brief notes:

Why is it that our children can't read a Bible in school,
but they can in prison?

<<Our children CAN read a Bible in school. The principal can't ASSIGN
Bible reading. There is a huge difference.>>

Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court, when the Ten
Commandments cannot be displayed in a federal building?

<<You DON'T have to swear on a Bible in court. You can AFFIRM, or
whatever your faith allows that will assure the court you would be afraid
to lie. But when I told a lawyer I believe 50% of all testimony is
perjury, he said "I see you're an optimist." So I guess swearing on a
Bible doesn't count for much either.>>
