[GCFL-discuss] NOAH NOAA

If nobody minds me talking about myself instead of about everyone else, I
just had an article published in The Wittenburg Door. It is a kind of
ecological exegesis, Noah meets Al Gore, based on a pun in the name of
the federal weather office. And it is available on line even without
subscribing to the magazine, which has a mailing list about 25% of the
average attendance at Joel Osteen's Sunday services at Lakewood. (But he
doesn't pose any hard questions.)

There are a few changes in the final copy. I preferred my original
opening, centering the conference at Wisconsin's holiest shrine. (If your
are either Native American or Roman Catholic). The editorial board became
quite taken with throwing in something about the deep water port of
Atlanta. The original opening was:

> The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Holiness (NOAH) conference was
> invited to a round table discussion last month with The Lord God
Almighty
> (TLGA) at the summit of the historic Holy Hill shrine in southeastern
> Wisconsin. The pre-Columbian sacred site is currently administered by
> Roman Catholic orders, but the priests and monks are used to busloads
of
> Missionary Baptist women from Chicago coming on day trips, so
> accommodating a Holiness conference was no big deal. Some of the
younger
> lay brothers privately speculated that an invitation from God took
> precedence over any instructions from the Vatican, but this question
was
> not formally considered. An exclusive summary of highlights from the
> conference was recently released to The Wittenburg Door.

Oh, I should sign this, in case anybody has trouble figuring out who sent
it.
