There's no easy way to say this and email is such an impersonal way to
let you know, but Cheri passed away this morning in her sleep.  I found
her around 7:45am in her bed.  I had last spoken to her at 5am.  I don't
know what happened.  Probably her heart.  Or she may have removed her
oxygen.  It's quite a shock, in spite of how sick and weak she had been.
She had endured so much and was showing signs of improvement.  She was
having less pain and was starting to taper down her morphine.  She even
went out to lunch yesterday and then to Lowe's to look at carpet
samples.  We were beginning some renovations to be more
wheelchair-accessible.
 
I've contacted family and friends, but have not made any arrangements
yet.  Services will possibly be Sunday or Monday, depending on when
family members can make it.  I will pass along the arrangements after
they're firmed up.
