The following is from Matt Spann, cousin of Jim Spann.  LuSinda is Matt's wife.  They have three children around 10 and a 2 year old.

Dear Family and Friends,



Please pray for LuSinda. On Friday the 15th, she became very ill and the next day was diagnosed as having contracted Typhoid Fever. Matt was in Johannesburg, South Africa, at a leadership meeting at the time, but was able to catch a flight home the next day. 



LuSinda is on antibiotics and several other medications and is doing much better than she was this weekend. However, she is still weak and suffers from headaches and abdominal pain. If her illness follows the normal pattern, it may take a number of weeks for full recovery and for the contagiousness to subside. Please also pray for Matt and the children, that they will be able to help her during this time and that they will be protected from catching this fever.

P.S.: We have been trying to send this out since this past weekend, but our email service hasn't been able to get it out. Since writing it, LuSinda has improved some, but continues to struggle with fatigue, nausea, and loss of appetite. Please keep praying.
