I would just like to say that I am really happy that Chicago has brought
home a World Series winner at last. I would have preferred that it be the
Cubs. I hope in the next five years the Cubs will have their turn. They
have been waiting longer. In fact, I think it is going over 100 years
next season. But I am happy the Sox pulled it off.

P.S. I regret that I have not ignited any provocative conversations
lately, but I have been engaged in an utterly ridiculous debate at
ThinkChristian.com about whether it is all right to celebrate Halloween.
(The short version is, as long as I don't worship the face I just carved
in the pumpkin, and as long as I don't take the occasion to love my
neighbor less, I don't know of any reason Jesus would object). I'm also
posting my longer-winded commentaries at blogspot now, which reduces my
tendency to share them here.
